Instax 25 or Polaroid Snap … Opinions ?

Hello, everyone ! So I need your opinions and feedback. If you own either of these cameras please comment with your review and/or opinions about them. My Birthday is not too far away and I’m hoping to ask the Birthday fairy for one of these cameras. I’ve been eyeing more towards the Instax 25 but I also like the fact that you can save your photos on the Polaroid Snap via Micro SD card where as the Instax 25 is instant print with no memory feature.

I originally seen but didn’t care much about the Instax cameras. Not until a crafting company showed a planner which apparently is a huge craze right now but they showed a daily planner being used as a daily scrapbook using Instax photos. Each day was marked by a Instax photo taken that day and a small paragraph about the day.

I’m all for journals and diary entries. I’ve kept journals and diaries all my Life and I currently don’t have a daily journal/diary but I do have a prayer journal which I write my daily prayers in. (=~=”) I’m kinda bad at remembering to write in it everyday. But I am deeply loving the idea of a photographic journal/diary compared to a written one.

So I am hoping that the Birthday fairy will be kind enough to grant me my Birthday wish … Well, my Birthday wishes since I have a few other items on my wish list too like the Mini Misti stamping tool, Money to buy a few stamp sets online, Some Cutting dies, and a few other things.

But trying to decide whether the Instax 25 or Polaroid Snap has got me befuddled and perplexed. I like the Instax 25 and have read many suggesting it over the Instax 8 but I grew up playing with my Dad’s Polaroid camera so I kinda wanna stick with the Polaroid memories and be loyal to the brand. But the Polaroid Snap is a bit more pricier than the Instax 25 which is roughly about $80 whereas the Polaroid Snap is $99.99 just a few dollars more but $100 is a little harder to say yes to over $80.

Which one … which one ?!? If you own either of these cameras … please, share you opinion and/or review of it below to help me decide which I should ask for.

Distress Inks … Destress Inks !

Happy Monday, Everyone ! (>~<) I really need to get into the habit of at least blogging once a week and not once a month. But I’m always caught up with creative projects and tasks. But I am most active on my Facebook account so be sure to LIKE MY FACEBOOK page. In case you don’t know where or how to look … here’s a direct link below ↓

If you do follow me on my Facebook page I recently posted that I got my first set of mini Distress ink sets. The colors I got are … Spun Sugar, Scattered Straw, Ripe Persimmon, Crushed Olive, Evergreen Bough, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, and Dusty Concord. I was told it’s more money worthy to buy the full size pads than the mini ones as they’re pretty dry and less saturated with ink unlike the full size pads.

I went with the mini pads as I had so many ink colors I wanted to try that I was having a hard time picking which One(1) color full size pad to buy as my 1st. So I went with the mini set but I have to say I agree that the mini ink pads are pretty dry and difficult to ink up a blending tool. The mini inks are great for watercoloring use and traveling just to do some minor inking on the go.

But my overall opinion of these Distress inks is … (♥⌂♥) I adore them !! I can’t wait til I have some extra funds to purchase the full size pads. I got my eye on this eBay listing where they are selling 22 Full sized Distressed ink pads for $74.99 +$7.00 shipping. Check it out …

I honestly think that Distress inks is another Must-Have item for a Cardmakers toolbox just like Tuxedo Memento ink, Acrylic blocks, an other supplies essential to a Cardmaker. If I were to give you a list of essential items I own that I cannot imagine being without is … The Fiskars Paper trimmer, Prismacolor Colored Pencils, Promarkers, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Fiskars Compact Stamp press, and of course my vast clear stamp collection.

I just recently organized my clear stamps and I was blown away by how many stamps I had collected over time with the thanks of Sales and coupons from stores like JoAnns and Michaels. But I think my in-store stamp purchases are now limited and I’m going to have to start shopping online as selections are getting slim at my local craft stores.

I will update and post again when I get full size pads and can tinker with more juicy ink pads. But I mainly use the Distress inks for adding color to the background of my cards. I don’t have any background stamps and I can’t seem to get my embossing folders to ink nicely like some people on Pinterest can. Distress inks helped fill in the plain white areas of my cards.

Go to my Facebook page to see cards I’ve made with my mini Distress ink cards. I am hoping to get larger pads soon and hopefully get some Mama Elephant Stamps sets and some more Floral stamps as I love flowers and can’t seem to have enough Floral and Critter stamps. (∩≈∩”)
